Chapter 17: Inexorable Death



The prize for beating Cynthia's paralogue are lances and more lances. Killer Lances are going to be needed for Cynthia to gain some levels for the next chapter.





It's not the walls I'm worried about—it's the hordes of Valmese inside them.

Our best bet is a swift, surgical strike, right at their heart. If we can strike down their commander, the fortress will be ours. So—Khan Flavia, your men will take on the forces surrounding the castle. That should create an opening for a smaller team led by Chrom and I. ...I regret to say this will put you at the forefront of the battle, Sir Chrom.

I wouldn't have it any other way.

Then it's settled. Other Resistance forces are on the way. With luck, they'll arrive in time to help. Let's cleave them a proud trail of imperial blood to find us by!

Say'ri needs to calm down. She's giving Henry a run for his money in being bloodthirsty.



It's a pretty large fortress, with our army split into 3 groups. There's a Thief waiting to nab some treasure, but he won't be that much of a problem.
